This Week's Bites
The Top 7 Social Media Marketing
Trends That Will Dominate 2015
Jason DeMers Short link: http://ow.ly/EQ9zw
'Tis the season for trend-spotting and predictions. I may have a couple more of these to share in the next couple of weeks, but this one is quite thoughtful and also surprising, for me anyway, in offering a very positive take on the newcomer network application Ello.
The article is pessimistic about Google+ and very bullish about Instagram.
In brief: Ello up | Facebook ads up | Twitter ads up | Google+ down | Instagram up+ | Social media marketing

How to Structure a Perfect SEO Optimized Page
As post author Neil Patel says:
With Google looking at over 200 factors when ranking a website, how do you know which ones to focus on? Or better yet, what steps do you need to take in order to improve your rankings?
One night last week I sat
through an hour's presentation on search engine optimization (SEO). I found the presentation worth attending, but to a significant degree I could have picked up the key points from this post and the very clear infographic that it comes with.
12 Great Sources of Free Images for Social Media
Tricia Goss Short link: http://ow.ly/EXW1X
We keep getting told how important images are in our social media content: actually, not just important, essential. But unless you are a professional photographer, how
do you find great images you can use without breaching someone's copyright?
This is one of the best lists of its kind I've seen. Surprisingly - for me - it does not include Flickr, but just about every other such list seems to have Flickr in it, so I'm guessing it's known to most people who have looked for free images to use on a blog or for other social media
purposes,
From my browsing so far, this list includes some really helpful resources. It's always important to read the details about copyright, but I was pleasantly surprised to see how many of these resources are truly free to use and how generous the copyright terms are. Look especially at Unsplash, Pixabay and SumALL. Actually, check out all of
them.
And one more thing
Linking Business Professionals
Group
How would you like to belong to an online community for learning and sharing about LinkedIn, in a broader context of social media, networking and business?
Linking Business Professionals is an open group on LinkedIn, for intelligent, spam-free conversation about what I've tagged as "LinkedIn, social media 'n all that jazz". Here is the
