I haven't got seriously into Instagram, but what I see I like. I found this article very helpful. For example, I didn't know whether it was better to use the built-in feature in Instagram to take photos or the camera controls in the smartphone. The article set me straight on that, as follows.
When it comes to decent Instagram photos, there’s an unwritten rule
that they all come from outside the app itself. Using your phone’s native camera horizontally gives you more flexibility when it comes to cropping and default camera apps on most phones tend to have more features and better processing than Instagram’s integrated shooter.
Social Media Marketing Tools - Update Lee Odden
Tools make reaching social media marketing goals possible. Whether you’re a soloprenuer or a multinational enterprise, it’s nearly impossible to manage a social media marketing program without using 3rd party tools.
Master marketer and one of the
nicest people you could meet, Lee Odden, shares a list of top tools for managing social media marketing. And it's free. Although the tools aren't.
Two groups:
- Self-service tools (between $10 to $200 per month, many
of which offer free trials)
- Enterprise tools (typically starting at $1,000 per month, that require a demo with their team to get started)
Design Your Own Social Media Quote Box Using Inkscape
"Be Your Own Graphic
Designer"
Ever wondered how you could make some of those neat boxes for quotes that you see on Instagram, Facebook and other social platforms? Without hiring a graphic designer, that is? It's Inkscape to the rescue.
Inkscape is professional quality vector graphics software which runs on Windows, Mac OS X and Linux.
This video, just under 20 minutes in length, takes you step by step through the process.
And it's Inkscape.org (not .com)
