Are you struggling to connect with your customers on social networks? Do you know where they hang out online? ... To optimize your social media marketing efforts, it’s important to know who your customers are and which social networks they spend their time on. In this article you’ll discover how to connect with your target audience on social media.

This is an excellent article from my friend and respected social media expert Rich Brooks. Practical, chock full of great advice. Know who your ideal customer is and where she/he hangs out online? Find out how to research that.

There are boundless amounts of computer programs and online tools to help you create social media graphics, but what can you do when you’re engaging live from an event, not near a computer or just not a graphic designer? Creating social media graphics on the go can be super simple with the use of a few apps.

The apps are called, respectively, FontCandy, Snapseed, and Phonto.

But don't let those names put you off. And I'd hazard a guess they are not, individually or collectively, literally "awesome" (grrr!), As we increasingly access the web while we are on the move, away from our familiar laptop or desktop graphics programs, many of us will want graphics editors we can use on the go.

Disclaimer. I haven't used any of these yet. Just let me get past the names. :)

Digital transformation became a real buzzword in the tech industry in 2015 - but there is still a lot of confusion over what the term means and how it should be carried out.

A thoughtful article, scrutinizing just what is meant by "digital transformation" and identifying key areas for consideration by those tasked with implementation.

Areas are:
  • 2015 was characterized by 'cohesive' digital transformation - moving from front-end to mid-tier and back-end implementation
  • staying on top of the curve - timely implementation of latest tech, with continuing quality customer service
  • 2016 the year for attention to cultural transformation
  • transformation led from the top
  • no longer on the back foot (those that are need better coordination)
