Think you know your social media? Take a look at a new infographic from skilled.co, and you might find that you don’t know quite as much as you think. From global penetration rates to influence of purchasing decisions, this new social media infographic provides plenty of information for even the most knowledgeable marketer or social business to digest.
This infographic is seriously amazing although stating in the subject line that these are (all) "things we never knew" is a bit rich, and defining the launch of Facebook in 2002 as the beginning of the history of social media is unduly limiting.
But check it out for yourself. I'm guessing you'll find something interesting!

There are significant implications for marketing, especially for the allocation of resources for online marketing and engagement.
I’ve come to realize that, in many ways, the concept of Millennials is just too limiting. Businesses have been
encouraged to pour resources into marketing to this narrow demographic. HR teams have set their sights on recruiting Millennials and catering to Millennial tastes. But they’re missing the bigger picture.

Gen C isn’t an age group at all; it’s a mindset. There’s no cut-off date. You
can be 15 years old or 85 years old and still be a full-fledged member. As you're reading this, you are clearly Gen C! :)
