Today's heart whisper painting is Day 11 of my Art Every Day Challenge and the words my heart is shining were what came to me as I finished the painting this morning.

I have been reading Brené Brown's book Gifts of Imperfection and that triggered this week's blog post, along with being asked to state in one sentence what I do.

This is what transpired:

"I help people cut thought disempowering mind chatter and listen to the whispers of their heart where true wisdom is found."

I am excited, after sharing with you a weekly heart whisper now for 58 weeks, the heart whisper is the basis for my work: My art, my coaching and my writing, finally I can see it all that I do and share as being under one umbrella.

So watch this space for a new look on the website, the heart whisper cards, a heart whisper community and a few more things on the drawing board. Life is good ☺♡

This morning I accepted an invitation to a local business networking event next Wednesday night. As recently as a day ago that acceptance would have been followed about the obligatory networking opening question so Suzie What Do You Do?

When I was a teacher I answered teacher, same when I was a trainer of child-care workers and then when I was an artist that was easy. The only problem with that was I got boxed : the teaching box, the artist box and I was always more than just what I did for "work" Now I have had a breakthrough and I have a way to answer the question with confidence.

The breakthrough came from reading Brené Brown's book, The Gifts of Imperfection: Let Go of Who You Think You're Supposed to Be and Embrace Who You Are. This was like the sun bursting through the clouds. How wonderful it would be to no longer have to see the eyes glaze over as you try to explain your complex persona and all the wonderful things you offer.
